Our Color Picker is a designer's dream tool. Not only can you use the precision pipette to grab hex codes from any specific pixel, but our algorithm also analyzes the entire image to generate a harmonic dominant color palette. It extracts the most prominent colors, providing HEX, RGB, and HSL values which can be copied instantly for use in your CSS or design software. Picking is as simple as moving the cursor: a magnified zoom view follows your pointer pixel by pixel, and a click locks the color for copying. The locked swatch is reported in HEX, RGB, HSL, and CMYK, and a contrast check tells you whether the color stays readable on white or black. The generated palette can be exported as CSS custom properties or as a Tailwind theme block, so a scheme can move straight into a project.

Short answer: Our engine typically identifies the top 5 to 10 most prominent colors to create a balanced palette.
Can I really use this for brand color matching?
Yes! It's perfect for finding the exact brand colors from a logo or promotional graphic.
Does the picker handle transparent images?
Sampling reads the pixel straight from the canvas, alpha channel included, but the reported codes are HEX, RGB, HSL, and CMYK. Fully transparent pixels have no color of their own and come back black, so pick from opaque areas when you need an accurate code.
