How does the tool keep the background outside the shape transparent?
The tool utilizes HTML5 Canvas compositing mode (`destination-in`). It renders your chosen vector shape as a clipping mask, preserving the image pixels inside the shape boundaries while resetting the alpha transparency of all pixels outside to zero.
Will cutting out a shape reduce the quality or resolution of my original photo?
No. The clipping operation calculates pixel transformations against the full native resolution of your uploaded image, ensuring that the exported PNG retains crisp, print-ready clarity.
Can I add a solid colored background instead of transparency?
Yes. You can toggle between transparent background (PNG) or select a solid background fill color (JPEG/PNG) to suit your design needs.
Are my personal photos uploaded to any server during the cutout process?
No. The entire masking, positioning, and image export runs 100% inside your web browser's local JavaScript engine. Your photos are never uploaded over the internet.
